Legendary Singers Of Christmas Songs Celebrated In New Musical Tribute
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Grammy-balloted, award-winning Indie artist Luanne Hunt pays tribute to Gene Autry, Burl Ives, Nat King Cole and Bing Crosby in her new holiday single, "The Hosts of Christmas Past."

This holiday season, beloved singers Gene Autry, Burl Ives, Nat King Cole and Bing Crosby are the subjects of a musical tribute by award-winning Indie artist Luanne Hunt. Her song, "The Hosts of Christmas Past," celebrates these golden voices of Christmas and their timeless, yuletide tunes.

Hunt, who scored a No. 1 single on the European Country Music Association chart for "Christmas Without You," said no one is more deserving of a musical nod than Autry, Ives, Cole and Crosby.

"Christmas just wouldn't be the same without 'Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer,' 'White Christmas,' 'The Christmas Song' and 'Frosty the Snowman,'" said Hunt, who records on the Star Creek Entertainment label. "Gene, Burl, Nat and Bing left a legacy that will continue to affect generation after generation. I'm really surprised a song hasn't already been written about them and their incredible contributions to the music world."

Hunt is the sole writer of "The Hosts of Christmas Past" but thanks her husband Steve for suggesting the subject matter of the song. She also credits her talented and acclaimed musicians for creating a lush backdrop for the folksy tune. Among them are Eric Uglum (Alison Krauss, Nickel Creek, Ralph Stanley), Hal Ratliff (Righteous Brothers, Grass Roots), Roger Gillespie (Kenny Loggins, The Coasters), Christian Ward (Sierra Hull) and Austin Ward (Lee Ann Womack).

"'The Hosts of Christmas Past' is beautiful,'" said Ken Kessler of Sounds of Christmas radio. "As soon as I received the mp3, I couldn't wait to play it on the air."

Throughout her illustrious career as an Indie artist, Hunt has built an impressive list of accomplishments and a worldwide fan base with her refreshing and well-crafted country and folk tunes. Her 2007 CD, "Breaking Through," produced two hit singles on U.S. and European Charts. The enchanting "Solace In The Wind" reached No. 1 on the European Country Music Association's chart (Belgium) in July, 2010.

"Luanne's voice is beautiful and haunting and reminiscent of a female version of Simon and Garfunkel," said Bobby Jo Valentine of Music Worth Reviewing. "Her lyrics are powerful, her musicianship is solid, and there's simply a thousand things to love about this artist."

Hunt began pursuing a professional music career in the mid-1990s. She found immediate success with her critically-acclaimed single "I Don't Bother Counting," which was frequently played on the former KIK FM country radio station in Orange County, California and on other stations throughout the Southwest.

Additionally, many of Hunt's songs have been played on AM, FM, Satellite and Internet stations around the world. In 2007, she was featured on an "On-Air" interview on the "Steve and Johnnie Show" on Chicago's WGN Radio. In 2009 and 2012, she was named "Christmas Star of the Day" on Doug Stephan's syndicated "Good Day" radio program.

Most recently, Hunt had the opportunity to record an original Christmas song titled "Rudy's Winter Break" with 1960s hit makers The Royal Guardsmen ("Snoopy's Christmas" and "Snoopy Vs. The Red Baron").

Along with "Breaking Through," Hunt has released four other CDs/EPs. They include, "The Singles Sessions," "How Christmas Feels to Me," "Most Requested," and "Time for the Holidays," which features the American Songwriting Awards "Best Holiday Song 2014" nominee, "If Christmas Were Mine."
Hunt's music is available on iTunes, Amazon, CD Baby and at www.luannehunt.com.
