New York, NY (Top40 Charts) The Montfort Academy's chairman of the board, Richard Greco, Jr., today announced the selection of Mr. Kyle Pridgen as the first Richard and
Barbara Naclerio Classical Scholar at The Montfort Academy. Named after successful entrepreneur Richard Naclerio of Pelham Manor, NY and his wife Barbara, the Classical Scholars Program at The Montfort Academy was created to support and facilitate the work of emerging academic leaders from among The Montfort Academy's high school faculty who have distinguished themselves in their abilities to teach their subject matter within the interdisciplinary context required of classical Catholic education, their abilities to enliven their classrooms through the use of the Socratic method, and their leadership and dedication to faculty moderation of extracurricular activities.
Kyle Pridgen is The Montfort Academy's teacher of Astronomy, Biology, and Chemistry. He is the Faculty Advisor for The Montfort Academy's Astronomy Club, The Montfort Academy's Student Council, and The Montfort Academy's winning boys soccer team. Kyle Pridgen is The Montfort Academy's liaison to The Hudson River Museum for an interdisciplinary academic program underwritten by The Carvel Foundation. He has also led a student mission trip to Honduras.
