Janna Pelle To Play 3 Varied Brooklyn Shows This December
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) inspirational 2014 EP The Show Must Go On, versatile indie artist Janna Pelle will play a string of exciting shows in Brooklyn this December at indie hotspots Bar Matchless (December 11 & 14) and Cameo Gallery (December 16). The three shows will showcase Pelle's versatility as a performer across a diversity of genres.

December 11th sees Pelle playing an initial gig at 10pm at Bar Matchless, where she will perform an entire set of David Byrne/Talking Heads songs. Three days later on December 14th also at Bar Matchless, Pelle will perform with her noted side project, Beatles cover band Michelle My Pelle.

December 16th brings the opportunity to see Pelle showcasing her original DIY pop songs at
Cameo Gallery supporting glam-rock outfit Wifey for their album release. Single
"City Life" is among songs within Pelle's soon to be released concept album Key Change, which illustrates a history of the piano through pop music. Pelle explains her affinity and passion for the instrument that served as motivation for this most recent release as well as an integral aspect of her upcoming concept album by saying, "Part of the reason I love the piano so much is because it is a solo instrument. When I came to New York, I said to myself, I don't have all of these other instruments [with me]. With the piano, I am able to write for myself, sing and accompany myself". With each song on the album featuring a different keyboard instrument from harpsichord to synthesizer, Pelle insists that the piano is the ultimate pop-princess tool.

With a style reminiscent of alternative songstresses, Pelle demonstrates a fresh and inventive way of combining elements of pop, rock and soul alongside classical piano. Pelle currently is putting the finishing touches on Key Change with Producer Max Low and editing the "City Life" music video which includes a collaboration with renowned bodypainting artist Trina Merry. Pelle also dedicates time to curating musical playlists as the musical director of Skipping Club, an organization that has been recognized by The New York Times and Fox.

With three dates in the upcoming week, there's no excuse to miss out on Janna Pelle's unique blend of singer/songwriter talent, which has been compared to "the love child of Tori Amos and Lady Gaga with the alter-ego of David Byrne" which displays a modern sensibility towards the DIY ethic of the greats.
