New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Valley Forge Casino Resort) Launching the revival of a local music tradition, Motown legend
Smokey Robinson kicked off the Valley Forge Casino Resort
Music Fair with a sold-out performance on December 13.
Robinson performed in front of more than 1,000 fans in the casino's newly-renovated convention center, offering up hits from his expansive catalog including "Second that Emotion," "You've Really Got a Hold on Me" and "Tears of a Clown."
"Smokey Robinson's performance, and the launch of our
Music Fair series, has created tremendous buzz in the Philadelphia area," said Valley Forge Casino Resort (VFCR) Chief Marketing Officer Jennifer Galle. "He was the perfect iconic performer to launch this signature series that brings national headliners to Valley Forge."
The Valley Forge Casino Resort
Music Fair continues with an eclectic group of renowned acts including KC and the
Sunshine Band in January, two Comedy Underground shows with Dave Attell in February, and a stop on country star Josh Turner's Roughstock and Rambler Tour in March. Additional acts will be announced in January.
"VFCR is not a typical music venue - a night out includes upscale dining options from famed Philadelphia chef Tony Clark, a tavern and country-western inspired nightclub, a safe, exclusive gaming environment, and hotel amenities" said Galle. "By bringing national headliners to our resort, we are offering an unparalleled guest experience."
