New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Sammy Sadler's country music career was placed on hold after being left for dead in the infamous Murder on
Music Row shooting in 1989. This event changed his life and country music career forever and with the 26th anniversary of this tragedy, Sammy is rebooting his career and hitting the road with Ken Mellons and
Buddy Jewell on his new "Takin' The Country Back Tour." Sammy says it best, "In a blink of an eye I lost a friend and my career for being at the wrong place at the wrong time. One day I went from being on the Billboard, Cashbox, and Indie World Charts to focusing on recovering. Now I'm back and ready to take back what was taken from me - Country Music."
The Takin' The Country Back Tour will feature music from Sammy's upcoming album 'Everything's Gonna Be Alright' and his latest release, 'Heart Shaped Like Texas.' Sammy will be joined by
Buddy Jewell who was the winner of the first Nashville Star and topped the charts with his Clint
Black produced debut album 'Buddy Jewell' and Ken Mellons, the original Jukebox Junkie, will round out the tour with fan classic hits like "Jukebox Junkie", "Rub-A-Dubbin" and "Working for the Weekend." The team spent the summer fine tuning the tour and will begin touring with their band at festivals, fairs and venues across North America.
Concurrent with the tour, Sammy is donating 100% of all download proceeds from his latest single, "In America" to the men and women that serve or have served our country. The single is available on iTunes, CDBaby or Amazon and is available for purchase now. "I've had my sacrifices, but those are nothing like the sacrifices the members of our military make every day to protect our freedom," said Sammy, "I have many people in my life helping me get prepared to re-launch my career and I wanted to give something back to those that dedicate their lives to defend America."
