Michael Jackson Vintage Parka And ATV From Caribou Ranch To Be Auctioned By Leslie Hindman Auctioneers
New York, NY (Top40 Charts / Leslie Hindman Auctioneers) Caribou Ranch was a recording studio in the Rocky Mountains that produced 45 top ten albums, 18 Grammys and 20 number-one Billboard Hits. The ranch hosted over 150 music legends, including Michael Jackson, during the 70s and 80s.

Jackson visited the ranch during The Jacksons' Victory Tour that played across the United States and Canada in 1984. When playing in Denver, Michael Jackson took a break and headed to Nederland, Colorado to enjoy life at Caribou Ranch.

During his stay, Jackson took part in the many outdoor activities available at the ranch. This included exploring the scenery on an all-terrain vehicle. He wore a plush blue parka and was photographed using both. Images from his trip appeared in the November/December 1984 issue of People Weekly Extra.

"He rehearsed every day that he was at the ranch. He had a strenuous exercise program, a personal chef and was in top form. He was not used to being able to go outside without bodyguards. It was a freedom for him that he was unaccustomed to at that stage of his career," said James Guercio, Caribou's founder.

These are two of over 400 lots that will be sold in the upcoming auction conducted by Leslie Hindman Auctioneers on January 24 at the Denver Design Center. Online bidding allows music fans from around the world access to the instruments, equipment and furnishings used by similar big names while visiting or recording at Caribou Ranch.
