Kandace Springs Premieres "West Coast" Video
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Singer and keyboardist Kandace Springs has premiered a new video for "West Coast," one of the four songs on her self-titled debut EP out now on Blue Note Records. Springs performed "West Coast" and the EP's lead single "Love Got In The Way" on Jimmy Kimmel Live! Tune in to ABC . The Kandace Springs EP is available now to stream or download.

Featured recently by Interview Magazine as their "Music Discovery" and tapped as an Essence Magazine "New & Next" artist, Springs is one to watch in 2015 as she draws on R&B, hip-hop, jazz, pop, and Latin to showcase her knack for merging old-school values with fresh and innovative styles. In an exclusive song premiere Entertainment Weekly praised "West Coast" as "buoyant neosoul that combines a rollicking horn arrangement and a bumping rap beat."

Early fans have also included Prince, who invited Springs to come perform at his legendary Paisley Park Studio in Minneapolis after seeing one of her YouTube videos. Ghostface Killah also featured Springs on his new album 36 Seasons and invited her to perform with him on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.

Born and raised in Nashville, Kandace was only 17 when she captured the attention of SRP Music Group's Evan Rogers and Carl Sturken with a demo she had recorded. Springs moved to New York City several years later to begin working on new songs with Rogers and Sturken, who have written hits for such artists as Shakira, Christina Aguilera and Kelly Clarkson, and are best known for discovering a teenage Rihanna. A&R executive Eli Wolf brought Springs to Blue Note Records, where she auditioned for label president Don Was with a performance of "I Can't Make You Love Me" - a bold move, since Was produced Bonnie Raitt's original recording. Was signed Kandace on the spot.
