New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Joe Keithley, leader of the legendary D.O.A. has organized a benefit show Saturday January 31st at the Biltmore Cabaret in Vancouver to raise funds for groups fighting Enbridge's Northern Gateway pipeline and Kinder Morgan's pipeline expansion.
Joe Keithley, the founder of D.O.A. and lifetime activist has joined in the fight to try and stop the Northern Gateway pipeline and the expansion of the Kinder
Morgan oil pipeline, he recently said "We are in this fight to win it. I'm not going to sit back and do nothing when there's a chance of environmental devastation in B.C. Look at it this way, one tanker disaster off of our coast with this dirty oil would make the Exxon Valdez look like a sunny day at the beach."
As part of D.O.A.'s NO OIL PIPELINES in BC Tour, Keithley has put together an all-star cast of some of BC's best musicians to raise money for people fighting British Columbia's pipeline proposals and to keep the public engaged and aware of the potential harm that these pipelines represent. Playing alongside and in solidarity with D.O.A. will be Ford Pier Vengeance Trio, The Wilds w/ Holly Arntzen and
Kevin Wright, Aging Youth Gang, No Mothers and Remember Lite-Brite?. You can find info about advance tickets at www.suddendeath.com
