Square new year ball drop countdown, singer-songwriter and musician Jencarlos Canela has been confirmed to star on NBC's new sitcom "Telenovela." "Telenovela" is created and produced by Eva Longoria.
Jencarlos, who's albums feature songs in both Spanish and English, will make his debut on English language television on one of the most important networks in the world, as he kicks off his crossover in to the general market.
"I am beyond excited not only to work with Jencarlos, but to see the doors that his crossover into American television opens! He's an amazing addition to the show!," commented Eva Longoria, in regard to Jencarlos participation on "Telenovela."

The news represents a milestone in 26 year old Jencarlos' career, whom already has more than 100 million views on VEVO/Youtube and 8M+ followers on his social networks. America of his latest and third studio album "Jen," which featured hit singles "I Love It," "Irreparable" and "Tu Sombra."
After being crowned the winning coach of the first installment of Univision's prime-time music reality competition "Va Por Ti" (the show is currently airing in Mexico and Latin America), Jencarlos will embark on the first leg of his 2015 North American tour, which will kick off on February 6th at the Pearson Convention Center in Toronto, Canada.
