Archie Powell & The Exports And The Noise FM Announce 'The Magnificent Seven' SXSW Tour
CHICAGO, IL. (Top40 Charts) Heartbreak, shame, sorrow and guilt. In the case of Archie Powell, his new collection of songs prove that for him, no good crush gets requited. He and the Exports released Back in Black, an explosive set that marries the melodic, hooky addiction of their previous albums with a new heavier, noisy backing. Since then the band has toured the nation, performed at SXSW and Riot Fest, written a song for Chicago favorite Malort and garnered pretty incredible critical acclaim (see below). As a prelude to their 'Magnificent Seven' SXSW Tour, they will release a brand new video for "Tattoo on My Brain", premiering at Chicago's Parts and Labor as part of their Beats, Burgers & Beers series on Wednesday, February 26th. The band recently recorded a split 7" collaboration with their pals in Mutts. Each band covers the other's song, and they add a brand new tune as well (The Exports cover Mutts' "Blind Truth" and debut "Bathtub Medicine", Mutts cover "Crazy Pills" and debut "Stand Your Ground"). The two bands will perform live at the Empty Bottle on April 27th to celebrate the release.

PRAISE FOR THE EXPORT'S RIOT FEST PERFORMANCE:

"Chicago punk upstarts preach debauchery and joy through a custom-made vintage telephone mike.' Chicago Reader

"Here was a band with some of the biggest pop hooks and best energy of the weekend. " Chicago Sun Times

"Archie Powell and the Exports are absolutely killing it at the Radical stage...these pros don't miss a beat while beating the audience into happy submission with their visceral, but super fun, new material." Chicagoist

Brothers Austin and Alex formed The Noise FM in Fort Scott, Kansas, a town of 8,000 in southeast Kansas before relocating to the city of Chicago in 2010. "Though we've been a band for several years, and this is technically our fourth record, Attraction marks something of a reboot and refocus for The Noise FM, and almost feels like a debut release," the two brothers explain. "Attraction is the sound of us having fun, and writing the kind of record we would want to listen to. Every song has a distinct feel and sound, and the record is influenced by the wide variety of music we like to listen to." The Noise FM's energetic, beat -driven music has been featured in television shows such as MTV's "Made", the rebooted "90210", "Fox College Sports" and video games "SBK '09 Superbike World Championship," and "Tap Tap Revenge 3", among other high-profile placements.

In addition to performing music from the band's 2014 release "Attraction" (The Record Machine), The Noise FM will be debuting new material from a forthcoming record while on tour. The Noise FM's Austin, Texas performances include headlining The Midcoast Takeover showcase at Shangri-La on Friday, March 20 at 11pm, as well as performances at the Music Gorilla and Red Gorilla showcases.

PRAISE FOR THE NOISE FM:
"Tight and technically proficient, the Noise's music is often aggressive but always closely calibrated, with equal attention paid to searing melodies and killer riffs..." - Kansas City Pitch

"The Noise FM aren't one-trick ponies as their songs are soaked with space rock guitars and well crafted vocal melodies that balance things out." - LoudLoopPress

""Whatever is is that The Noise FM is selling, I'm not only alert, but I'm buying..." - Chicagotunes.net
