New York, NY (Top40 Charts) The D'Addario Foundation's Performance Series offers virtuosic, emerging classical guitarists from around the globe a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity: performing at Carnegie Hall for the first time in their careers. The sixth installment of the series will take place April 30 at Carnegie Hall's Weill Recital Hall and will feature an evening of music by Ukraine's Marko Topchii and Croatia's Zoran Dukic. The D'Addario Foundation is a non-profit organization funded by D'Addario, the world's largest maker of instrument strings and based in Long Island, NY.
At just 24 years old, Marko Topchii has won over 50 awards in international guitar competitions including a sweep at the highly regarded Falletta International Guitar Concerto Competition last year. Croatian Zoran Dukic took first prize at one of Madrid's most heralded Spanish guitar competitions and became the first ever non-Spaniard to win best interpretation of Spanish music.

The D'Addario Foundation has presented over 25 guitarists from far-reaching corners of the globe as part of their Performance Series, which began in 2010. The events are an important step in the careers of these artists and in most cases represent their first-ever performances in the US.
