IFPI Hong Kong Top Sales Music Award 2014

Hong Kong, CHINA (Top40 Charts) IFPI (Hong Kong Group) Limited is proud to announce the result of the IFPI Hong Kong Top Sales Music Award 2014 held successfully on 11th March, 2015 at TVB City. The award show was officiated by Mr. Yung Wai Hung, Philip, JP, Permanent Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development (Commerce, Industry and Tourism) HKSAR. For the lighting ceremony he was joined by Mr. Ng Yu -Chairman of IFPI (Hong Kong Group), Mr. Colin Cheung - Chairman of IFPI Hong Kong Top Sales Music Award 2014, Mr. Gary Chan - Vice Chairman of IFPI (Hong Kong Group) and Mr. Ricky Fung, BBS - CEO of IFPI (Hong Kong Group).

This year there were 67 awards handed out to top sales recording artistes with achievement recorded in year 2014. The winners of the topmost award in each category were: Best Sales Local Male Vocalist - Aaron Kwok; the Best Sales Cantonese Release - Sammi Cheng; the Best Sales Mandarin Release - Gillian Chung; Best Sales Local Group - C AllStar; Joey Yung took both the Best Sales Local Female Vocalist as well as the Best Sales Local Live Recording Release.

IFPI (Hong Kong Group) is pleased that with the great support of the Composers and Authors Society of Hong Kong (C.A.S.H.) in providing the result for the presentation of the Hong Kong Digital Music Award - The Ten Best Sales Digital Tracks in 2014.

The IFPI Hong Kong Top Sales Music Award is unique in Hong Kong being entirely based on audited sales achieved locally by auditors Patrick Wong CPA Ltd. The theme continued in "Supporting the Hong Kong Recording Industry" which was widely supported by the artiste community.

Finally, IFPI Hong Kong Group wish to thank the officiating guest of honor, Permanent Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development (Commerce, Industry and Tourism) - Mr. Yung Wai Hung, Philip, JP for officiating the event.
The program was scheduled for broadcast on 21st March, 2015 on TVB Jade from 7:30 pm.
