New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Roger Davidson performed "Jazz for the Spirit", a program of jazz tunes, in Greenwich Village providing music aficionados at the venerable Caffé Vivaldi a delightful, musical treat.
"Jazz for the Spirit" showcases Davidson's gift for creating memorable mosaics, combining some of his original compositions with a few favorite jazz standards, and a dash of improvisation to uplift the spirit.
"The music of
Roger Davidson, in all its diversity and passion appears to have an unstoppable momentum," said Raul de Gama, World
Music Report.
Roger Davidson's performance was part of Soundbrush Records' long standing Wednesday evening music series at Caffé Vivaldi that began in 2012 to showcase its recording artists. This intimate venue has become an informal home for the musicians to present new material, revisit old ones and collaborate with one another to create extraordinary music. The recently released, "Live at Caffé Vivaldi -Volume 1" features Davidson's original compositions as performed in duet with
Pablo Aslan on bass during 2013 Wednesday night music series.
