New York, NY (Top40 Charts / Zya) Today, Zya announced the launch of Ditty for Messenger at Facebook's F8 Developer Conference. Ditty is a brand new experience that sings personal messages to the melody of famous songs and makes them shareable via Messenger. Users type in up to 70 characters, select a well-known track and Ditty generates a personalized lyric video to send to friends.
Zya is one of a select few third-party developers whose applications are now available through Facebook Messenger.
"Everyone loves music, but making it has always divided people into two camps--those who can and those who can't. Ditty changes that by making the simple act of texting a musical experience," said Matt Serletic, co-founder and CEO of Zya, "We couldn't be more excited to launch Ditty on the Messenger Platform. With hundreds of millions of people communicating via Messenger every day, Ditty will quickly make the world a more musical place."
Ditty users can always find the right music to fit the mood of their message. The diverse song library features current hits such as "Brave," "
Counting Stars" and "
Chandelier" and classics including "I Want You to Want Me," "Another One Bites the Dust" and "Girls Just Want to Have Fun." There will be 10 free songs available at launch, with 16 that can be purchased for 99 cents, with more to come. Once purchased, each song can be used to create as many dittys as a user likes.
The announcement of Messenger Platform — a new way for app developers to integrate with Messenger — brings the ability to add even more forms of expression and rich media to conversations.
Ditty integrates natively with Messenger for sending and receiving messages, and users can save their custom lyric videos to their camera roll for later. Compatible with iOS and Android devices, Ditty for Messenger is available to download for free in the App Store and Google Play.
