HQ Releases Official Single 'Go Deeper'
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) The singer and songwriter of hip hop music known as HQ has released his latest single, "Go Deeper." The track is the first single from his popular LP mixtape, "H for Hierarchy," which appeared on the DatPiff website in July of 2014. HQ's "Go Deeper" single has been proudly published on the Still Young Records independent music label outside the reach of the corporate music infrastructure. Smooth, slick, and bringing dropped bass measurable in sheer tonnage, "Go Deeper" by HQ is a track for DJs, dancers and hip-hop fans alike.

HQ has cited as main artistic influences many of today's most popular legends of the scene, such as Jay-Z, 50 Cent, and Eminem, as well as titans of the old school like the Fugees, Tupac Shakur, and the Notorious B.I.G.. Additionally, HQ also cites reggae demigod Bob Marley and, in his own words, "hip-hop culture in general. I love it."

As with most music from HQ, "Go Deeper" is a track with a solid theme and positive message. This extends throughout the "H for Hierarchy" LP mixtape, as well.

"The message of my album is be yourself," HQ writes. "Appreciate and enjoy life. Also: stay hungry, even when your belly full."

This last proverb is an excellent example of the kinds of wit with which the rapper laces his urban poetry. Every track on "H for Hierarchy," and especially "Go Deeper," is a song written with deliberation in its every rhyme and line. This comes as no surprise, however, considering HQ's long experience in sound.

"I was raised on music," writes the rapper. "Music set the tone of my house growing up. I could always tell what kind of mood my parents were in based off the music they played. I used to watch the Video Music Box with my dad as a kid. I loved music videos. I used to sneak and rap all the songs in the mirror with a brush. I mean I knew every word to every song then. It became part of who I am."

The brush was replaced by a mic before too long, but not before HQ cut his teeth in real competition. He writes of this, "I used to rap battle, then in high school I started a group called Lotto Family. That's when I knew that I was born to travel the world performing my music."

HQ (High Quality) is an American rapper, record producer, and entrepreneur from Brooklyn, New York. He is the CEO of Still Young Records, which he started in February 2010. His "H for Hierarchy" LP, which is hosted by Coast2CoastMixtapes, has been downloaded more than 500,000 times and still counting. HQ currently lives in Atlanta, GA.
"Go Deeper" by HQ is available online worldwide.
