New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Seattle quintet Ivan &
Alyosha have released their sophomore album It's All Just Pretend. Overflowing with infectious melodies, thoughtful lyrics, rich vocal harmonies and timeless pop sensibilities, the album has been embraced by tastemaker radio stations and publications. The album first premiered on The Wall Street Journal who writes, "The result is 11 buoyant songs that lean more toward pop than folk on 'It's All Just Pretend,' an album rich in hooks, with tight vocal harmonies and robust instrumental arrangements." It's All Just Pretend was produced and engineered by Ryan Carbary, Joe Chiccarelli (U2, My Morning Jacket) and Chad Copelin.

Alyosha recently traveled to Los Angeles to tape a session on KCRW's "Morning Becomes Eclectic," performing several tracks from the new record.
The band's official video for lead single "All This Wandering Around" was premiered through Entertainment Weekly, who heralded the track as a "buoyant blend of pop and blues-rock."
The track initially debuted on Paste. A live "Cabin Sessions" performance of the song was subsequently premiered with American Songwriter. The song has been featured as KCRW's Today's Top Tune and seen airplay on Triple A stations across the country, including WXRT (Chicago), WRLT (Nashville) KEXP (Seattle), KINK (Portland), WXPN (Philadelphia) and KGSR (Austin).
Following the success of of the first single, the band released "Bury Me Deep" via The A.V. Club who writes, "Catchy and anthemic, the track is a lovely way to kick off the last week of March."

Alyosha will embark on a spring tour, which will kickoff with a hometown concert at Neumos, followed by performances in Brooklyn, Los Angeles, Chicago, Nashville and Washington, DC. They also recently performed live for WXRT's Opening Day Broadcast in

It's All Just Pretend is the follow up to the band's acclaimed 2013 debut LP All The Times We Had. The album received great support from the press, including NPR Music, Filter, American Songwriter, Paste Magazine and USA Today, who said, "[a] sound as filled with hope as it is harmony. These songs are sheer joy, from their melodic surface to deep inside their lyrical core."
