Monster Energy's Curren Caples Wins Ryan Sheckler's Highly Anticipated Inaugural Street Skateboarding Competition: Red Bull Hart Lines
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Monster Energy's Curren Caples wins the first ever Red Bull Hart Lines street skateboarding event in Detroit, Michigan, this past Saturday at the Hart Plaza.

Conceptualized by Ryan Sheckler, the brand new street skateboarding competition, Hart Lines, featured an innovative new contest format featuring two lines with its own unique set of skateable elements. The course incorporated a mix of existing rails, ledges, and stairs with additional features designed by California RampWorks. Each athlete had three runs on the course, one on each of the two designated "lines," and a third on the line of their choice.

Eight of the world's best skateboarders came and attacked the course, but it was Caples who was full of crowd pleasers and ultimately dominated with his unsurpassed speed, style and board control taking home $35,000 and a 2015 Dodge Challenger R/T presented by Pennzoil Synthetics.

"I've been skating every day to put myself in a position to be ready for this contest," said Curren. "I'm so stoked to have skated a contest where speed matters."

Monster Energy's Chris Cole, one of the world's most prolific skaters of all time, landed in an admirable fourth place, just off the podium.

Make sure to check out Cole in the upcoming Street League Skateboarding Nike SB Pro Open in Barcelona on May 16 and 17, and Cole and Caples at X Games Austin 2015 this June.
