New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Producer Staybent Krunk-A-Delic and vocalist Zenya Bashford will be guest presenters at SAE
Institute Miami's "Behind the Mix" lecture series on Friday, May 15. The two industry veterans will share details of their careers and provide strategies, tips, and advice to SAE's audio technology students and the aspiring music business professionals in attendance.
"Each month, our 'Behind the Mix' seminars share valuable advice from prominent music industry insiders," says SAE Miami Campus
Director Marcella Holness. "These presentations provide our guests and audio technology students with crucial real world insights, excellent networking opportunities, and professional development to help make them career-ready."
Bashford is a member of Justin Timberlake's Tennessee Kids band and recently completed a two year tour with Timberlake and Jay-Z. In 2013, she was part of an all-star ensemble (along with Sam Moore, Timberlake, Booker T. Jones,
Alabama Shakes, Sam Moore, Cyndi Lauper, and
Queen Latifah) that performed a special 'Memphis Soul' concert at the White House for President Barack Obama.
Krunk-A-Delic is a chart topping, multi-platinum selling producer who has worked with Jamie Foxx,
Nelly Furtado, Elton John, Ludacris, Sean Paul, and many more. He recently produced "
Good Feeling" for Jennifer Hudson, which is the theme song for her commercial endorsement as national spokesperson for Weight Watchers.
"It's going to be incredible to have Zenya and Staybent here to share their experiences with our guests and students," says Mark Samuels,
Director of Career Development &
Industry Engagement at SAE Miami. "Many of our audio engineering students aspire to become artists, songwriters and producers, and Zenya and Staybent will show the connection between these disciplines and how they mesh in a studio environment. Having access to these real world insights and perspectives will give our students a levelheaded outlook as well as a competitive edge when they're ready to enter the audio production industry."
