New York, NY (Top40 Charts) gooimusic, mygooi's disruptive and creative new YouTube music channel (https://www.youtube.com/c/gooimusic), will start with jazz and spread into genre's from around the world, said Paul N. Greenwood, mygooi CEO.
"We've named Jared Freiburg creative director of the channel," Greenwood said. "Though young, he's incredibly talented and creative as a composer, singer and instrumentalist. He's already accomplished much, and has ideas and the skill to fuse diverse threads into new sounds. We're looking to reinvigorate world music."
One area which Freiburg is working on is fusing traditional Indian music with jazz. "We're looking to give well known Hindu themes a more modern twist," he says.
"I'm thrilled to be part of gooimusic," adds Freiburg. "I have a passion for jazz, but we will pay more attention to creative talents from all over the world who haven't received the recognition they deserve. There are vast pools of talent, new talent that will bring all types of music to our followers. We will respect them all and share a broad spectrum of visions."
Freiburg, 18, was selected as a vocal soloist at the Grammy awards in February, one of 32 students the GRAMMY Foundation® chose from across the United States for its prestigious 2015 GRAMMY Camp® -- Jazz Session. A recent graduate of Valley High School in West Des Moines, he will be studying in the fall at California
State University, Long Beach, with a double major in music education and performance.
