New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Billed as San Luis Obispo County's largest onsite camping and music festival, the 3rd Annual
Seven Sisters Craft Beer and
Music Fest kicks off summer at El Chorro Regional Park & Campground, July 10-12, with more performers, music workshops, craft breweries, wineries, and expanded onsite camping areas.
Named for the natural mountain peaks that distinguish the area, the
Seven Sisters Fest, nicknamed 7SF, is a unique grassroots lifestyle festival for San Luis Obispo County celebrating craft brews, artisan wines, local food purveyors, nonstop music, on-site camping, outdoor activities, and benefits two local nonprofits, the Infinite
Music Foundation and Woods
Humane Society.
Strengthening its alliance with the Infinite
Music Foundation, a local nonprofit dedicated to supporting innovative music programs for kids, the festival and nonprofit will team up at this year's event to present a number of music opportunities throughout the weekend including musical workshops for children and adults; the Infinite
Music Backstageā¢ program, an intimate meet and greet opportunity with select event performers; and evening campfire jams led by host musicians encouraging audience participation.
"With our majestic
Seven Sisters as the backdrop, we can't think of a better place than El Chorro Park to celebrate summer, camping out under the stars and enjoying great craft beer and music," says 7SF co-producer Jim Vanko.
The three-day festival offers an original and energetic lineup of musical genres; an afternoon tasting of craft brews and locally-produced boutique wines; hearty and healthy food; guided hikes to morning yoga; and this year's added bonus: a Sunday Vendor brunch celebrating Woods
Humane Society's 60th birthday.
Local award-winning Tap It Brewing Company will introduce a Friday Night Dinner and Cask Beer Tasting, including six specially-selected Tap It Brewing cask beers and dinner of choice among participating festival food vendors. On Saturday afternoon, more than 40 craft breweries from around the state will gather for the event's 7SF Craft Beer Tasting to sample a variety of specialty craft beers. And for those who would rather taste grapes over hops, the festival's tasting ticket also provides an intimate tasting of world-class wines from select wineries.
The 7SF Friday Night Kickoff features New Orleans rock and roll firepower Cowboy Mouth; high energy funk soul rock alchemists Jelly Bread; good time Blues ambassadors Tom Ball & Kenny Sultan; and Nashville guitar slinger Shane Dwight.
On Saturday, it's the 7SF Craft Beer Tasting and
Music Fest featuring a full musical lineup of eclectic performers from all over the country, including the 10-piece Gulf Coast Soul band The Suffers; inventive rock and roll country outlaws The Congress; Bayou voodoo rock and rollers The Delta Saints; San Francisco's bluesy sing-along party rockers The Stone Foxes; Australian world blues didgeridoo master Harper and Midwest Kind; and the world-music flavors of Todo Mundo.
The 7SF El Chorro Sunday greets attendees with Bloody Mary's for purchase at the festival bar, and features headliner and powerful songstress Nicki Bluhm and The Gramblers; the cult California "Hips Sounds" of The Mother Hips;
Texas soul blues guitarist Hadden Sayers; and award-winning singer-songwriter Keith Greeninger.
Set on El Chorro Regional Park's 700-plus acre site, the three-day festival offers onsite camping adjacent to festival activities. El Chorro Regional Park and Campground is located between San Luis Obispo and Morro Bay, the east side of Highway One, across from Cuesta College.
