Jon Regen Makes His Television Debut On ITV's Weekend With Aled Jones
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) On April 28th, acclaimed musician and New York-based songwriter Jon Regen released his Motéma debut Stop Time. The Mitchell Froom (Crowded House, Paul McCartney) produced album features Davey Faragher and Pete Thomas from Elvis Costello's band the Imposters and finds Regen at the peak of his songwriting and pianistic power.

Earlier this month during his European tour Regen made his television debut on the ITV's acclaimed talk show program Weekend with Aled Jones. Regen performed his single "I Will Wait" from his Motéma debut Stop Time and sat down with the host for an extensive interview about the new release.

During the week of June 23, Jon Regen's performance and interview with radio host and acclaimed pianist Michael Feinstein will air on NPR's Song Travels. Check your local NPR station listings for details.

Clive Davis of The Sunday Times of London said the album "has the kind of melodic lilt that ought to appeal to [Jamie] Cullum's followers... The oft-noted Randy Newman influence shines through on some ballads, but Regen's playing and writing have muscle and character of their own."

Writing in Paste Magazine, Jeff Giles awarded the album an 8 out of 10 rating and said "Stop Time brims with rich and occasionally downright suprising rewards for the attentive listener."

Deborah Grabien of No Depression said "This is probably the most perfectly produced album I've heard since Paul Simon's Graceland and Ani DiFranco's Dilate. That makes Stop Time the best-produced LP I've heard so far this century; actually, this millennium."

The Associated Press gave the album a glowing review and said "His sturdy songs, pleasing tenor and seven-foot grand are a captivating combination... these songs are made for the repeat button."

Recently, Harry Shearer, best known for his acting roles in the Simpsons and Spinal Tap, played Regen's track "Walk On Water" on his syndicated radio program Le Show. During his trip to Europe, Regen stopped by the BBC for an in-studio interview as well as Radio 6 in the Netherlands, where he covered Bill Withers' "Lovely Day."

On June 22, he will perform at the Rochester International Jazz Festival in Rochester, NY alongside Diana Krall, Gary Clark Jr., The Steep Canyon Rangers and many more.
