The Modern Hearts Release New Music; Hot New Single "Want You So Bad" Set For Release Today
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Up and coming Toronto based rock band The Modern Hearts will make the summer sizzle with the official release of their brand new song "Want You So Bad" off their upcoming sophomore album, through independent distribution. The song was produced and mixed by Juno Award winning producer Dan Brodbeck who worked on their critically acclaimed debut album Into The Wild released in 2014.

"Want You So Bad" will be out on radio across Canada starting today and also available digitally. Watch the lyric video on YouTube below.

"Want You So Bad" was recorded at Metalworks Studios in the GTA. The song was written by lead vocalist Gary Stitt and the band members in a more organic way than for their previous album. "The way it all flowed together just felt right and works so much better for the direction we want to go in with our music," says Stitt. "We added more pop elements mixed with classic alternative rock n roll. We think you will definitely notice the difference in the new album as a whole."

On July 11th, The Modern Hearts will perform "Want You So Bad" and other new tracks at Big Music Fest in Kitchener. They will take the stage again exactly one year after their memorable win of the Breaking Bands competition, this time playing their very own main-stage alongside the likes of Jane's Addiction, Soundgarden, Monster Truck, Big Sugar and many others. For The Modern Hearts upcoming shows, visit the band's website.

The Modern Hearts will also be on tour across Canada to support the song starting August 2015. Here are their summer tour dates:
Aug 1: Toronto - Sneaky Dee's (Fundraiser)
Aug 7: Kenora - The Bijou Steakhouse
Aug 8: Winnipeg - The Garrick Hotel
Aug 12: Saskatoon - Buds on Broadway
Aug 13: Regina - McNally's Tavern
Aug 14: Calgary - Dickens Pub
Aug 15: Edmonton - Bohemia
Aug 19: Kelowna - Habitat
Aug 21: Vancouver - Panama Hotel
Aug 22: Banff - Elk & Oarsman

Since winning Big Music Fest's Breaking Bands competition in July 2014, The Modern Hearts have been garnering local and national attention. Their first full-length self-recorded and self-released album Into The Wild debuted in January 2014, and showed just what they are capable of musically. Working with the incredible Dan Brodbeck a second time, The Modern Hearts sophomore album is already in production and promises to take them to the next level of their blossoming career. Performing all new music from their upcoming album at Canadian Music Week 2015, the group drew an unprecedented sold out crowd and proved just how far they have come in only a year's time. The response to that show confirmed that they are heading in the right direction and that "Want You So Bad" will turn some heads.
