UK Band 'Fast Boyfriends' Release Second Album & Announce Gig
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Released through their Tickle the Trout label this month, Fast Boyfriend's follow-up to 2013's Derelict Aquarium, 'Eyes, Ears & Nose' is available on CD through Amazon on Demand and for download from iTunes and other download sites.

With the bare bones of the album being recorded over an intense two days in a barn in Kent and the meat being applied afterwards in various sessions around South London and Kent, the album maintains Fast Boyfriend's stalwart D.I.Y. ethic and was completely written, recorded, produced, engineered, mastered and even used as coasters by the band themselves.

Embarking on a more adventurous sonic journey this time round, the 11 tracks on Eyes, Ears & Nose veer from soulful meandering on the trappings of pornography in 'Cold Erotica', to groovy psychedelia mapping the birth and death of rock 'n' roll in the raucous 'Ancient History'; it passes by some mellow country-rock in 'Same Old' and the single-worthy indie pop of 'Sweet Mechanics' before segueing into the epic Procul-Harum-meets-Hieronymus-Bosch progressive rock of 'No Last Judgements Here' which brings the album to a close. It's a lovingly crafted and well executed album which holds plenty of surprises in its just over 30 minute length.

To promote the album, Fast Boyfriends have announced a solitary London gig on Friday, July 10th at the legendary 93 Feet East venue at the Old Truman Brewery on Brick Lane, London E1. It's usually a busy Friday night event run by London promoters Symptomatic in an iconic venue in the heart of trendy East London, so go catch Fast Boyfriend's unhinged and incendiary live show while you can as they don't play that often. Plus, there's a total of 5 bands playing which is not bad for the £6 advanced ticket price tag. Get there early to catch them all; doors open at 7pm.

If you're interested in going along, Fast Boyfriends have offered you the chance to go on their 'Fans' guestlist which allows entry on the door at the same knock-down advanced ticket price of £6 - simply email [email protected] to be included on their list, or visit their Facebook page for the latest updates and news.
