New York, NY (Top40 Charts) A member of the Western
Music Association Hall of Fame, Rex Allen Jr., will honor through song, the last wishes of Sheriff Ralph Lamb, the most revered crime-fighter in Clark County history. Lamb, 'the last cowboy sheriff,' was known in Las
Vegas for being the tough guy that faced down gangsters and mobsters. He formed Sin City's first SWAT team and even once arrested 74 Hells Angels, gave them all haircuts and dismantled their motorcycles. The real-life sheriff inspired the CBS drama, VEGAS, portrayed by
Dennis Quaid.
Rex Allen Jr. shares, "My family has been friends with Sheriff Lamb for as long as I can remember. I knew he wanted me to sing at his funeral, I just didn't know he was going to request 15 cowboy tunes! He was a true cowboy of the wild, wild west and I couldn't be more honored to do this for him."
