LOS ANGEELS (Melon Media/ www.melonmedia.com/ www.zacharyprovost.com) - With recent performances on Conan O'Brien and the American Music Awards, Zachary Provost is warming up for a month long tour as pianist and musical director for Josh Groban, The tour begins late this month in South Africa and then heads to Europe for a string of sold-out shows in Holland, Germany, Sweden, Norway, France and the UK.

Zachary was introduced to Josh Groban by legendary producer David Foster. Foster, a 14-time Grammy Award winner has produced hits for such artists as Josh Groban, Celine Dion, Chicago, Whitney Houston, Barbara Streisand, Toni Braxton, Diana Krall and many more. Foster and Provost's friendship dates back six years during which Provost was asked by Foster to arrange the National Anthem for Cher at the 1999 Superbowl. Most recently, Foster approached Zachary in need of a pianist and musical director for Josh Groban. Zachary happily agreed three years ago and has in this time developed a strong and mutually respectful relationship with Groban.

Aside from his position as musical director, Zachary Provost is himself a renowned solo-artist. In high school he received the Louis Armstrong Jazz Award for musicianship and then received the Barry Manilow Endowed Scholarship for songwriting skills while studying at USC.

Provost recently released his debut album 'Alive,' which received a great deal of critical acclaim. Keyboard magazine praises, 'Zachary Provost has created a stellar collection of solid songs that showcase his deft arrangement and production skills.' Crowds this summer at the Greek Theater in Los Angeles were in for a rare treat when Provost was asked by Groban to perform two original songs at his sold out concert. Provost helped to fill in the gaps while technical adjustments were made during the shooting of Groban's upcoming DVD 'Josh Groban Live at the Greek Theater.' Provost sang and Groban's band performed the song 'Fire' from Provost's album 'Alive,' as well as 'The Heart of the Moment, " a track from his upcoming CD to be released late next summer. The music was well received by Groban's fans and Provost made quite of a few of his own fans that night.

Provost's quickly growing fan base and respect within the industry is a strong endorsement for his talent as a singer-songwriter. Producer David Foster says, "Over the years I've met a lot of very talented people. Zach Provost is at the top of that list. The depth of his musicianship is endless, and his great songwriting, arranging and production skills make him a triple threat. He has written and produced an album that belongs right alongside the biggest names in our industry. Congratulations Zach. Let this be the first of many great contributions to the artistic community."

Zachary Provost will be performing in Los Angeles at Molly Malone's on Thursday December 30th at 8:30pm. Zachary will be joined by fellow Josh Groban band members: Craig Macintyre (drums), Tim Curle (percussion), and Tariqh Akoni (guitar). Special guests include Liz Phair's musical director, Dino Meneghin on guitar and Sean Hurley on bass. Hurley plays with Vertical Horizon, Richard Marx and Glen Ballard. www.zacharyprovost.com
