Born Cages Premiere Music Video For "I Just Want The Truth, Baby"
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Indie rockers Born Cages have premiered their video for "I Just Want The Truth, Baby" exclusively on VEVO. The single is off the band's debut album, I'm Glad I'm Not Me, released June 2nd via Washington Square/Razor & Tie- purchase the album HERE: https://geni.us/borncages.

Directed by Minister Akins, the video flirts with a stylistic approach that brings the song's sexy moody vibe to life. "We all wanted to be a little bolder with this video and really create tension with each shot. The director has a very arty and obscure way of shooting things, so we thought it'd be a great match," says singer and guitarist Vlad Holiday.
Born Cages continue their time on this summer's Vans Warped Tour, where the band's being exposed to a completely new audience. "We're having a crazy time out here," says Vlad. "Nobody sounds like us and yet we've been getting an overwhelmingly positive response from fans and bands alike. The best part of it is that we're playing to a ton of new people that would normally have never heard of Born Cages" (tour dates below).
I'm Glad I'm Not Me was produced by Jon Kaplan (Cage The Elephant, Walk The Moon) and co-produced by lead singer and guitarist Vlad Holiday. The album features explosive guitar riffs and heavenly backup vocals to match the unfiltered charm of Born Cages' urban English indie rock vibe. The album includes fan favorite/first single and synth heavy "Rolling Down the Hill," as well as their newly released electro-rock anthem, "I Just Want The Truth, Baby." The song premiered at Kick Kick Snare and has received over 365,000 listens to date. The site raves the song, "is a departure from a predictable formulaic structure that most songs populating (and polluting) the indie/alt rock genre are producing."

The band's video for the song "Rolling Down The Hill" won mtvU's The Freshmen competition and the song has charted Top 10 at Alternative Specialty radio. A remix of the song reached #2 on Hype Machine's popular remix chart. The album has reached #9 at Alternative Specialty with the recent success of "I Just Want The Truth, Baby'" Yahoo Music declares, "Born Cages is a group that definitely knows how to bring the rock" and AXS compares the band to chart-toppers Walk The Moon, stating Born Cages have, "exceptional potential to infiltrate mainstream radio and shake it up."

Lead singer and guitarist Vlad Holiday formed Born Cages in 2011 and the group dove head-first into New York City's unique indie rock movement. He is joined by Dave Tantao on drums and Matt Maroulakos on bass/keyboards. The band has received nods from the likes of Rolling Stone, MTV.com, and Vice Noisey and they have shared bills with a bevy of acts such as Hockey, Magic Man, X Ambassadors, Donald Cumming (of The Virgins), Har Mar Superstar, Prinze George, JD Samson, Said The Whale, PVRIS and Public Access TV. They were even handpicked by Guns N' Roses to be the sole support band on two sold out GN'R club shows.
