Clay's item is such a hit that McDonald's will send the winning bidder to an Aiken concert to receive the hands from Clay personally.

The handprints have generated so much buzz and funds for Ronald McDonald House Charities (the winning bid to date is more than $10,000) that McDonald's Corporation is announcing today that the winning bidder of the Clay Aiken handprints will be awarded the signed cement handprints from Aiken personally at one of his holiday concert tour stops this year. Aiken's Holiday Concert Tour, sponsored by McDonald's, kicks off November 21 and goes through December 23, 2004.

WHY: Part of a month-long initiative to build awareness for the annual World Children's Day at McDonald's fundraiser, the eBay auction is one of several initiatives McDonald's is using to reach its $20 million goal to benefit Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) and other children's causes worldwide.
Clay Aiken provided his signed cement handprints during the launch of World Children's Day at McDonald's global annual fundraiser on November 9, in Los Angeles. Other celebrities at the event, who donated their signed handprints to the eBay auction as well, include: music artist and actress sisters Hilary Duff and Haylie Duff, tennis champions Venus Williams and Serena Williams, Latin superstar Alejandro Fernandez, Olympic track and field legend Carl Lewis and famed American Idol judge Randy Jackson.
Nearly 80 items from celebrities are part of the World Children's Day at McDonald's eBay auction, including three Marc Bouwer evening gowns worn by Destiny's Child during their first commercial taping for McDonald's (a spot currently airing for World Children's Day), as well as, ink handprints from Brooke Shields, Peter Boyle, Robert Downey Jr., Lara Flynn Boyle, Blair Underwood, Mary J. Blige, Andy Dick, Nick Carter and Trista Rehn-Sutter among others.
