SYDNEY, Australia (www.lumpmusic.com) - Last Friday night saw hundreds turn up at the Marquee in Sydney for the National Final of World Battle of the Bands... with Lump from Queensland taking out the top spot. Lump now go onto the World Final in Auckland on Saturday 27th November, up against finalists from Hong Kong (AudioTraffic), LA (Jaggedy Ann) and New Zealand (Chuganaut). Singer Skenie said "we're gonna bring the Gold Coast to the world!"

As well as the trip to NZ, Lump also win $3500 worth of Maton Guitars, a publicity package from Reservoir Promotions, and each band member received a new Motorola e398 mobile phone. All of the state finalist band members also received a pair of Dr Martens each, and a Songpod.com mini site.

Lump's heavy hitting debut ep "Here I Am" is out now through Ward69 Records/MGM, and the band are putting the finishing touches on their next release, the 9 track "Paper Skin" ep, due out early 2005...
