LOS ANGELES (Hip-O Select/Universal) - The much sought-after
Peter Frampton LIVE IN SAN FRANCISCO - MARCH 24, 1975 will be released by Hip-O Select on November 19th. The album will not be available in any retail stores, only at www.hip-oselect.com. It is a one-time-only, limited-edition release of 15,000 copies.
On March 24, 1975,
Peter Frampton performed in concert at the Record Plant in Sausalito, California. The concert was broadcast on KSAN
Radio in San Francisco, and then it went into the vault, where it remained until this release.
For this set, Frampton drew from under-exposed material scattered across his first four solo albums. Many of these songs became staples of virtually every rock station in America, when the following year's Frampton Comes Alive became the best-selling live album in history.
Grammy-winning producer Bill Levenson oversaw the release of this lost classic, longtime Bay Area critic Joel Selvin contributed liner notes, and it was remastered from the original master tapes by Suha Gur in 2004. Frampton himself has been involved in every phase of the project, and has given it his enthusiastic approval.
Hip-O Select is a division of the Universal
