NEW YORK (Arlene's Grocery PR) - On Wednesday, December 8th, an amazing musical lineup will assemble to raise funds for Amnesty International Brooklyn. The show is brought to you by WOMANROCK and Arlene's Grocery, located at 95 Stanton Street in New York City's Lower East Side. WOMANROCK is an online and offline community that supports online activities such as a magazine, retail MusicShop, and community area, as well as offline activities like showcases, networking evenings, and compilations.
WOMANROCK founder Brenda Kahn will serve as the show's MC, and the lineup for the evening will be:

7:00 P.M. - Bree Sharp
8:00 P.M. - Like So
9:00 P.M. - Martha Redbone
10:00 P.M. - Sirsy
11:00 P.M. - Dana Fuchs
Jpegs/Tiffs available of all artists

Half of the proceeds from the show will be donated to Amnesty International Brooklyn, and additional money will be raised by raffles held throughout the evening.

The thirty-year-old Brooklyn chapter of Amnesty International meets monthly, and in addition to international efforts on behalf of all people, the group focuses much of its energy on making sure women in particular can be both seen and heard, whether that involves protesting discrimination, speaking out for economic rights, or demanding legal protection. This struggle to end discrimination and violence against women is a difficult one, and all those involved with Amnesty International Brooklyn are volunteers. This is what makes an evening like this so important, because these struggles on behalf of human rights cannot continue without your support.

Great music for a great cause. That is what this evening is all about. Amnesty International Brooklyn is in need of your support and thanks you for your contributions.
