Jesse Smith & The Holy Ghost Joins He Is Legend And Sleepwave For The Stay Out Of The Water Tour
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Jesse Smith & the Holy Ghost will finish out this month with a two-week run of dates with He Is Legend and Sleepwave.

The Stay Out of the Water Tour - an end-of-summer nod to shark-attack hysteria - will begin on August 15 in Richmond, Va.

"I am a big fan of He Is Legend and we are humbled and thrilled to support them and Sleepwave on this tour," said Smith.

Hailing from the small town of Parkersburg, W.V., was a founding member of the seminal Christian metal-core band Zao. He went on to sell thousands of records, tour the world with some of the biggest names in metal, and influence the sound of countless major heavy acts. Zao was praised in many circles as ground-breaking innovators but often times riddled with criticism and controversy. This gave way to years of addiction, self-indulgence, and self-loathing for Smith, who came away from his struggle with personal demons with new perspective on life. That same perspective brought his new music to a different level.

Spending the last few years writing and recording, Smith found the niche that truly represents himself as he is today. Smith's music showcases a post-classic alt rock sound and is a mixture of Jesse's wide range of influences. With extremely personal lyrics laid on a sonic landscape of unique vocal hooks, infectious grooves and intricate guitar work, listeners will be left with an unexpected sound from Jesse Smith.

"We've rounded out the live band nicely and are rolling as a five-piece now," he said. "I'm looking forward to getting out there and playing with a full lineup, and I'm very excited to see some old friends and hopefully make some new ones."

Jesse Smith & the Holy Ghost's recently wrapped up filming their first video and have a planned spring 2016 release date for their debut full-length.
