Over the past year musicians from all over the world have sent in their songs and compositions for a total of over 1300 pieces.
A first selection was made by the WWMC Internal Panel, where the top 100 compositions were identified and sent to a highly qualified independent Jury.
In addition to the first prize, awards were given to the top the songs of each Genre defined within the contest as follows:

The Electronic genre was also included in the contest however in this first edition none of the compositions obtained sufficient votes and no prize was assigned; WWMC will dedicate specific contests to this genre in the near future.

The next editions of the contest will start in October but all the songs can be listened in streaming on WWMC Radio, the first radio in the world exclusively for unsigned artists from anywhere in the world.
WWMC will also be introducing their new website with a new format and new services in October of this year.

The World Wide
Music Contest is a website dedicated to the promotion of unsigned artists from all over the world through musical contests in which artists can post their musical material and be evaluated by a qualified jury of experts.
Participation to any contest, with one song, is free.
The website objective is to increase emerging musician's visibility and provide services allowing musicians to stream their music with the dedicated web radio (WWMC Radio) and in the near future access and share information with others through social tools that are being developed exclusively for the registered musicians.

The intriguing Corsican: Henry Padovani, was the original guitarist in ThePolice, forming the band with
Sting & Stewart Copeland and remains one ofSting's closest friends. He was the guitar player in Wayne County & TheElectric Chairs & plays with his own, long-established psycho-garage, thrashpunk,instrumental trio - The Flying Padovani's. He is also lead judge on the French X Factor and a regular contributor to many French TV shows, with a new live music series (think "Later") coming up next year, based around Henry & Paris' famous Le Gibus club. Together with Mary de Vivo of Le Reservoir, he represents the affairs of the
Brigitte Bardot Estate and IP and represents Mark St. John's and Cayman Music's
Bob Marley interests in France. With all this, he also manages to operate a career as a major record producer and a successful solo artist, orking live alongside many major US artists in France. He has arguably the smelliest dog in Paris & is the funniest guy we know. He was the manager of Zucchero, and broke the band REM in the UK, when he ran IRS Records. He nows a true story about Pavarotti's underpants...... ! To say that Henry Padovani enjoys a wide-ranging career. Would be a mild understatement! We are lucky enough to be heavily involved in all of Henry's musical activities, and producing and representing his new solo record, which will shortly be completed, after the addition of strings in Gothenberg and the addition of specific guest artists like Marianne Faithfull and Dick Taylor. This will be Henry's first ever totally solo, principally acoustic, one man record, with the body of the material being written by him. It is a major work, and the response to the first mixes has been immensely positive and very, very exciting. Henry's input and energy has also been a huge part of developing the career of CBBR writer and singer Sacha Morgan, whom we intend to sign in France, where she has already been well received and is beginning to become known. Sacha appears on Henry's album and he is featured on hers. It is a wonderful and highly effective relationship, giving benefit to both parties. Henry is a unique, highly experienced writer and an incredible guitarist, with a range of songs and titles that is breath-taking.
