NEW YORK (Top40 Charts) - US rapper Young Buck was arrested Friday on suspicion of stabbing a man who punched hip-hop producer Dr. Dre in the face, sparking a brawl at a Hollywood awards ceremony.

Buck, who is signed to Dr Dre's record label, fled the Santa Monica airport hangar where the awards were taped on Monday night, police Lt Frank Fabrega said in a statement.
The 23-year-old Young Buck, whose real name is David Darnell Brown, was booked and released on 500,000 dollars bail after surrendering to police in Los Angeles more than three days after the explosion of violence.
The rapper is scheduled to be arraigned on charges of attempted murder and assault with a deadly weapon on Dec. 20.

According to police "Brown (Young Buck) is clearly depicted (on video) as holding a knife after the assault and is one of a number of fight participants that was pepper-sprayed by officers in their attempt to stop this fight."

Young Buck, of Nashville (TN.), is a member of superstar 50 Cent's G-Unit group. Buck released his debut solo album, Straight Outta Ca hville, in August.
