New York, NY (Top40 Charts) After releasing the first single "I Don't Think You Like Me" off their sophomore Figurine EP (out now) earlier this year, Tired Lion have dominated Australian radio play, blown listener's minds with their 'Like a Version' mash-up of Violent Soho's 'Saramona Said' and the Smashing Pumpkins' '1979', taken out the WAMI for best rock song, won Channel V's Discover competition, opened Splendour In The Grass as the Triple j Unearthed winner, released their second single "Suck" to high-rotation, as well sent the band lapping Australia three times (now four) with shows supporting the likes of Gyroscope, The 1975, Kingswood, Luca Brasi and British India.
Now, the band are setting their sights across the globe, this week signing with UK's X-Ray Touring, joining fellow Aussies Bad//Dreems, Courtney Barnett, Hilltop Hoods, The Creases and Nick Cave to the prestigious agency, along with some other acts you may have heard of: The Pixies, Blur, My Bloody Valentine, Smashing Pumpkins & Queens Of The Stone Age.
"We were sitting at my place after rehearsal reading comics and drinking beers when we heard the official word that we'd be working with X-Ray. We're all pretty stoked cause they rep a bunch of bands we love like Yuck and The Smashing Pumpkins. We immediately started taking about how rad it'd be to go to the UK and the antics we'd get up to. A couple of us may have to become uber drivers to save some money for airfares haha" - Matt Tanner, Sept 2nd 2015
