New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Roots Rock band Before the Flood is ready to hit the road now that their critically-acclaimed sophomore album Hole in the Sky has been released. Touring around Ontario, Quebec and the East Coast, the band will bring their dynamic new sound to fans at home and abroad all throughout summer 2016. The band will also be playing at the respected Indie Week Festival, happening from October 13th to the 18th.
Seven years after the release of their first album, the band continues to evolve by blending vocal harmonies, layered strings and deep percussion and bass with eclectic elements. The album consists of 14 songs and is co-produced by critically acclaimed composer Joshua Van Tassel, renown for his ability to create electro-acoustic music.
The band will be playing at various concerts including Indie Week. "We're looking forward to playing Indie Week again," says Steve Davis, "The competitive format makes it a unique event where you have to step up your performance and impact."
Formed in 2005, the band's original line-up consisted of four members before integrating three additional contributors. Inspired by collective influences including Bob Dylan,
Leonard Cohen and Radiohead, the band brings a unique sound that has drawn comparisons to Wilco, The Shins,The Weakerthans and Skydiggers.
