NEW YORK (Elektra Records) - SHADOWS FALL latest effort, The War Within, has just passed the 100,000 mark via U.S. Nielsen SoundScan sales, in just under an impressive eight weeks.
This accomplishment is a further testament to the band's undying work ethic and current genre status, as it took their previous album, The Art of Balance, two years to reach this sales plateau.
This benchmark achievement comes off the heels of the commercial radio success of their latest single "What Drives The Weak" and massive co-headlining U.S. tour alongside
Damageplan and The Haunted, which wraps up on December 5th.
In its first week of release, The War Within, SoundScanned an impressive 39,251 copies, debuting at No 20 on the Billboard Top 200 Chart. The disc also checked in at No 1 on the Nielsen SoundScan Independent Labels Chart and No 2 on the Nielsen SoundScan Hard
Music Chart (behind Chevelle). This is the highest first-week SoundScan and Billboard chart debut of any Century Family artist to date.
SHADOWS FALL will embark on a U.K. tour with Fear Factory this December and a massive U.S. tour announcement will also be made soon for the spring.
