Tori Amos Hits No. 4; Phish Ties Pearl Jam Chart Record

LOS ANGELES (AP) - Rapper Jay-Z easily held onto the No. 1 spot on The Billboard 200 for the second week in a row as Tori Amos' latest effort, Strange Little Girls, debuts at No. 4 to mark this week's highest debut.

Elsewhere in the top 10, Martina McBride's Greatest Hits landed at No. 5, Gerald Levert's Gerald's World hit No. 6, and Diana Krall's Look of Love just made it in at No. 9.

Taking a page from Pearl Jam, Phish unleashed a crop of live albums on the charts this week and has become the second artist in history to chart more than one live album in the top 200 at the same time. Additionally, the Vermont-based jam band has tied Pearl Jam's record of debuting five albums on the chart at the same time (allstar, Oct. 4, 2000).

Live Phish -- Vol. 2 -- 7/16/94 -- North Fayston, Vermont landed at No. 93, Live Phish -- Vol. 1 -- 12/14/95 -- Binghamton, New York sailed in four spots later at No. 97, Live Phish -- Vol. 5 -- 7/8/00 -- East Troy, Wisconsin hit No. 115, Live Phish -- Vol. 3 -- 9/14/00 Darien Center, New York grabbed the No. 118 spot, and Live Phish -- Vol. 4 -- 6/14/00 -- Fukuoka, Japan came in at No. 127.

Also, the debut showings of Vol. 2 and Vol. 1 at No. 93 and No. 97, respectively, surpasses Pearl Jam's previous debut high of No. 98 earlier this year (allstar, April 4).

Other notable debuts include Macy Gray's The Id at No. 11; Live's V at No. 22; Coo Coo Cal's Disturbed at No. 45; the soundtrack to Tough Enough, featuring Godsmack, Deftones, and Disturbed, at No. 46; Collective Soul's 7even Year Itch: Greatest Hits -- 1994 -- 2001 at No. 50; the Doors' The Very Best of the Doors at No. 92; and Prophet Jones at No. 126.
