NASHVILLE, TM. (Mercury Records/ www.mercurynashville.com) - Mercury recording artist Julie Roberts will kick off New York's 78th Annual Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade festivities atop the lead float when the celebration begins rolling down Broadway, Thursday, November 25 at 9:00 am (all time zones). Roberts will be performing numerous hits from her self-titled debut album on the Country Music Association-themed (CMA) Thanksgiving Turkey float.

"Thanksgiving is such a great family tradition. For me to be chosen to represent the CMA float at one of the greatest holiday traditions is such an honor," exclaimed Roberts. "There's no better place than New York to celebrate the spirit of the season."

Commenting on the association's involvement with the parade, CMA Executive Director Ed Benson stated, "This is a quintessential New York event and we are thrilled to be part of it with such a lovely and talented ambassador for the CMA Awards, Julie Roberts. One of the goals of hosting the CMA Awards in New York City in 2005 was raising the profile of country music in this important market and participating in the Macy's parade is a first step in that direction."
The renowned Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade event airs live on NBC.
