Sony/ATV Extends Worldwide Agreement With Sia Furler
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Sony/ATV Music Publishing has extended its long-term worldwide publishing deal with Grammy and Golden Globe nominated hit songwriter and recording artist Sia Furler.

The new agreement continues a relationship dating back more than 15 years and covers Sia's entire catalogue, including songs she has written for acts including Beyonce, Rihanna, Eminem and David Guetta. It also takes in her own hits such as "Chandelier" and future works, including her brand new single "Alive" written with Adele and Tobias Jesso Jr.

Martin Bandier, Sony/ATV Chairman and CEO, said: "Sia is a unique and extraordinarily special songwriter to Sony/ATV and we are so proud to have been part of her career for such a long time. So I am delighted that we have been able to renew our agreement with her and I look forward to many more successes to come."

Sony/ATV UK Managing Director and President of European Creative Guy Moot said: "We are thrilled to be extending our long and hugely successful relationship with Sia who stands as a true artist with an amazing gift for writing incredible songs both for herself and other people. She brings artistic lyrics of real integrity to the mainstream and it's great her career has now come full circle with her back in the spotlight as a recording artist. She really is an unpredictably wonderful talent."

Sia is one of contemporary music's most successful songwriters, having written with or for a number of the world's biggest recording stars, including Adele, Christina Aguilera, Beyonce, Kelly Clarkson, Celine Dion, Eminem, Flo Rida, David Guetta, Jessie J, Wiz Khalifa, Maroon 5, Travie McCoy, Kylie Minogue, Giorgio Moroder, Ne-Yo, Rita Ora, Katy Perry, Pitbull, Rihanna, Shakira, Britney Spears and Kanye West.

For Rihanna she co-wrote the single "Diamonds", which spent three weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 in the U.S. where it has sold 4 million downloads, according to Nielsen SoundScan, while it also topped the charts in a number of other countries, including the UK, Germany and France.

She co-wrote and was a featured vocalist on a string of singles with David Guetta, including "Titanium", which was recognized for around 4 million US sales, while sold another 1 million units in the UK where it reached No. 1. She was also the co-writer and featured vocalist on Flo Rida's "Wild Ones", which reached the top five on both sides of the Atlantic, while her collaborations with Eminem include the UK Top 10 hit "Guts Over Fear".

Sia's many other songwriting highlights for other artists include Ne-Yo's UK No. 1 single and US Top 10 hit "Let Me Love You (Until You Learn To Love Yourself)", the Rita Ora hit "Radioactive" and the 2014 FIFA World Cup official song "We Are One (Ole Ola)" recorded by Pitbull and featuring Jennifer Lopez and Claudia Leitte. She last year contributed three new songs to the soundtrack of the movie Annie.

In this current year she has featured on Kanye West's new song "Wolves", contributed two songs to Kelly Clarkson's Billboard 200 No. 1 album Pieces By Pieces, was a co-writer of the Jessie J hit "Flashlight" from the movie Pitch Perfect 2 and co-wrote and performed "Salted Wound" for the soundtrack of Fifty Shades of Grey.

Besides her many achievements as a writer for others, Sia also has a hugely successful recording career of her own, having put out her first album in 1997 and achieved a first UK Top 10 single three years later with "Taken For Granted". She reached a new peak last year with the multiple Grammy-nominated single "Chandelier", which became her first US Top 10 hit as a main artist, selling 2.5 million downloads there, while returned her to the UK Top 10 and secured four Grammy Awards, including Song of the Year and Record of the Year. Follow-up single "Elastic Heart" instantly returned her to the Top 20, while parent album 1000 Forms of Fear - her sixth studio effort in all - debuted at No. 1 in the US, Canada and her native Australia last summer, while reached the UK top five.

In March this year she was crowned Songwriter of the Year for a record third consecutive time at the ARIA Awards in Australia and in July picked up her second Golden Globe nomination as "Opportunity" from the film Annie was shortlisted as Best Original Song in a Motion Picture.

Sia's new single "Alive" was released worldwide on September 25, is produced by "Chandelier" co-writer and co-producer Jesse Shatkin and is taken from her forthcoming album This Is Acting.
