New York, NY (Top40 Charts) It's the second installment of TRUE TO THIS on 7th November at The Hangout in Sai Wan Ho. This time round, Volcom in conjunction with The Underground are bringing music to the youth, celebrating local music (as we always do), and encouraging Hong Kong youth to stay TRUE TO THIS. Volcom supports the creative people from all walks of life, regardless of age, to live their lives to the fullest. It's a brand that has always been pushing people to go out and enjoy our surroundings, whether it's the company we keep, the natural environments that we taken for granted, or of course the music around us. To work hard of course we need to play even harder! And here is a chance to play hard.
This event gives you the chance to take a night off to enjoy your surroundings, play hard, and give support to local creative minds! The Underground provides a platform for bands to work towards fulfilling their fullest potential, and also opens up a channel for them to have an impact on the rest of the people sharing the moment with them, influencing them through music.
The Underground has selected two bands that are sure to get you fired up. The first band, ToNick gives off a really unique vibe. They are true examples of local musicians struggling in this Hong Kong pressure pot, fighting for their own dreams as a band. Their punk music is their way of telling you how to break down the rules in society and to live by the beat of your own drum. The second band ChoChukMo, is a 5-piece indie band described by Time-out Hong Kong as one of the "Top 20 Musicians in Hong Kong." They believe that with their own power they can achieve whatever they want, and when pulled into their music you will be hard pressed not to feel the same!
Come and get inspired, or inspire others.
