Melissa B. For 58th Annual Grammy Awards
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Singer/Songwriter Melissa B. took to the stage on October 9th, 2015 alongside Jazz Pianist Vincent Lyn & Flutist Wouter Kellerman in a double bill show at Carnegie Hall.

"Vincent Lyn & Wouter Kellerman, with friends, enthralled Carnegie Hall audience with passion, sensitivity, and artistic aplomb. Melissa Bailey contributes spirited and sparkling performance. Concert qualifies as a resounding success!" Quoted by Monty Guy.

Melissa B. was added last minute when she got a call from the acclaimed pianist to accompany him and friend Wouter Kellerman in their concert at Carnegie Hall.

Lyn proceeded to remind Melissa that singing for Carnegie Hall is everyone's dream and most people can't do it and wanted to make sure she was up for the challenge, but very excited and willingly, Melissa B. accepted the challenge and found the perfect song for the special night and made sure she rehearsed day and night.

The singer/songwriter has had dreams of singing at Carnegie Hall since she was a little girl, her father always told her that if she works hard, she one day will have her chance to be on that stage. Her father passed away a few years ago, and getting the call to perform at the place she always dreamt of performing, was a dream come true and all she wanted to do was make her father and the rest of her family proud. Melissa B.'s rendition of Sweet Thing by the legendary Chaka Khan, had the audience in high applause.

"Sometimes last minute changes can be amazing. This was one such moment. Melissa sang Sweet Thing by Chaka Khan and blew the roof off Carnegie. The whole groove was right in the pocket. The entire concert was phenomenal this special surprise was magic in a bottle." Quoted by Vincent Lyn.

A few days later after her celebrated performance, she was informed that she is to be considered for a nomination for the 58th Grammy Awards for Best New Artist, Best Pop Solo Performance and Song of the Year for her single "Maria".

Maria is an inspirational song that is dedicated to all the women in the world who are working to break free from poverty, hunger, violence and inequality.
