New York, NY (Top40 Charts) "We continue to add networking mediums that will assist us in keeping our community in touch with the arts and to expand the awareness of the diversity in our region," says Susan Ahlers Leman, President of the Fort Dodge Fine Arts Association.
Humbly starting in 1985 with a paper calendar of events in the area, the group then added the Oak Hill Art Festival as another venue for artist to demonstrate their talents and engage the community. Each month the Fort Dodge Fine Arts Association spreads the world of art in the area by promoting the various events and activities through a variety of mediums.
Today the calendar of events is more robust with the ability to use social media to get the message out. Weekly email distributions are used to not only tell of upcoming events but to also remind recipients to keep the Fort Dodge Fine Arts up to date with their calendar. Posters with the listing of events along with Facebook, Twitter and the website are also used.
