Award Winning Musician, Flutist And Composer Adds Poet To Her Resume
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Poetry is personal. Very few readers like the same ones. As a composer I was always pleased when different people liked different movements of a piece of mine. This is similar.

Recipient of the American Academy of Arts and Letters' Academy Award in Composition and the National Flute Associations' Lifetime Achievement Award, Katherine Hoover has established a name for herself in the music industry.

Taking her pen off the sheet music, Hoover switches gears to poetry in her new book, "This Way About." Pulling from her music background as well as life experiences, Hoover's book is Broken into four sections and filled with heartfelt, humorous poems of a wide variety that will be sure to interest a diverse audience.

"Poetry is personal," Hoover said. "Very few readers like the same ones. As a composer I was always pleased when different people liked different movements of a piece of mine. This is similar."

With rhythmic patterns, assonances, and internal and end rhymes, Hoover's words flow effortlessly like her music.
