Denny Strickland's Taking The Test Drive - Revs It Up As His New Single Breaks Top 30
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Country newcomer Denny Strickland's career continues to gain ground as the singer enters the Top 30 on the MusicRow CountryBreakout™ Chart with his current single, "How Far You Wanna Go." The music video, which features an all-star production "cast," was helmed by Lindsey Labadie (Where the Red Fern Grows, Removed, Desert Friends) and directed by Caleb Kuhl (Wu-Tang Clan, Tedashii, Dylan Scott). Emmy Award-winning Isaac Alongi (National Geographic, BBC, Discovery) served as Director of Photography.

More than 20 MusicRow reporters are featuring Strickland taking The Test Drive. The short video includes footage of Denny driving the streets of Music Row, discussing his career, dreams and the new single.

Denny kicked things into overdrive with his CMA Music Festival debut this summer, and it's been pedal to the metal ever since. The handsome vocalist recently hosted the syndicated television show Country Fix, opened for The Kentucky Headhunters, and released three acoustic music videos, dubbed The Dive Sessions, produced by Brian Harstine (Dolly Parton, Ke$ha). Strickland wrapped up a three-month long radio promotion tour and continues to write and gather songs for his upcoming CD.

His Euro-only release of the Conway Twitty classic "I'd Love To Lay You Down" spent four consecutive weeks at #1 on the Hotdisc Chart, and "How Far You Wanna Go" is currently Top Five. Plans are already underway for international shows next year.

"It's been a pretty amazing few months," admits the singer. "I wanna take this all the way, for sure." With a strong Country voice and a stage swagger to match, Denny's career definitely has "legs." Strickland is garnering heavy media attention, and recent features can be found on: The Boot,AXS.com, Digital Rodeo, Examiner.com, Country Music Matters and Roughstock.

ABOUT DENNY STRICKLAND
Denny's early career was guided by The Statler Brothers' longtime manager (and Bass player for Johnny Cash), Marshall Grant. Strickland soon found himself sharing the stage with legends Kris Kristofferson, Rosanne Cash and George Jones. With Grant's passing in 2011, he took a brief hiatus; regrouping and re-focusing his efforts. An accomplished guitarist and keyboardist, Denny is also a former American Quarter Horse Association World Champion Western Pleasure winner (2007). Strickland still enjoys riding - on both his beloved horses and in his cherished 1968 Camaro.
