SEATTLE (AP) - Ann Wilson will be on stage in her hometown of Seattle this week, but she won't be singing with Heart. Rather, Wilson is appearing in a local production of The Vagina Monologues, the award-winning Eve Ensler play that features three women talking about everything from their lives to sexuality to, of course, vaginas. Wilson joins local cast regulars Tracey A. Leigh and Amy Love for eight performances that begin Tuesday (October 2) and run through Sunday (October 7) at the Moore Theatre. The show's official website (vaginamonologues.com) says, "Based on interviews with a diverse group of womenthe play brazenly explores the humor, power, pain, wisdom, outrage, mystery, and excitement hidden in vaginas." The show is broken into 17 sections, with titles like "If your vagina got dressed, what would it wear?", "If your vagina could talk, what would it say?", and "The Little Coochi Snorcher That Could." In the show's three-year history, the rotating cast has included Joy Behar (The View), Calista Flockhart (Ally McBeal), Ana Gasteyer (Saturday Night Live), Melissa Joan Hart (Sabrina, The Teenage Witch), Ricki Lake, former ER stars Julianna Margulies and Gloria Reuben, Alanis Morissette, Cynthia Nixon (Sex And The City), and Annabella Sciorra (The Sopranos). The current New York City cast features Marla Gibbs (The Jeffersons).
