Created By Brian Gore, International Guitar Night Brings Guitarists From Across The Globe Together For An Incredible Evening Of Virtuoso Guitar-Playing - Live At The Gordon Center For Performing Arts, On March 5, 2016
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) On Saturday, March 5, 2016, at 8:00pm, the Gordon Center for Performing Arts plays host to four of the greatest guitarists in the world, in an inventive evening of eclectic contemporary guitar music. The program: International Guitar Night, featuring acoustic musicians from across the globe.

Founded in 1995 as a forum for the world's finest guitarists and composers to play original songs and share musical ideas with peers in public concert, International Guitar Night evolved into critically acclaimed annual tours in the United States (starting in 2000), Canada (starting in 2006), and the United Kingdom (starting in 2007). International Guitar Night first played at the Gordon Center in January of 2002.

International Guitar Night is the invention of Brian Gore, a San Francisco "guitar poet" who had, himself, gained a reputation as one of the most interesting and influential performers in a style of playing known as fingerstyle guitar.

In addition to Gore, International Guitar Night will feature:
One of the foremost authentic and distinctive musical voices in Gypsy music today -- Lulo Reinhardt. Over the years, Lulo has expanded his musical horizons and delved into the music of other cultures. He continues to explore and perform a fusion of styles, including flamenco, Latin, and Brazilian jazz, combining these with his own artistic stamp and a nod to his Gypsy influences.

Young British guitarist Mike Dawes, who combines rock, folk, funk and pop music in an instrumental concoction that leaves listeners both confused and intrigued. However, it's his innate musicality and ear for melody that gives listeners something different. Mike is able to utilize his incredibly advanced technical arsenal to achieve a musical and emotional end, a skill set often lacking in the instrumental category.

For multi-genre showman Andre Krengel, who was born in a small village outside Bonn, Germany, playing guitar is a journey; and "music is a language that connects us to people without words." Krengal is a versatile, virtuoso guitar player who is mainly self-taught, with his own unique style of playing, and is one of the foremost, leading and prominent players in Germany.

"We are proud to be bringing back this annual sell-out program to the Gordon," said Randi Benesch, Managing Director of the Gordon Center for Performing Arts. "Every year a different group of wonderfully talented and diverse virtuosos bring their unique styles to our stage. Along with the intimacy and incredible acoustics of the Gordon theatre, this show is literally 'music to your ears.' Don't miss this one!"

Sponsored by The Adalman-Goodwin Foundation and Hilda Perl Goodwin.
Tickets are $28 in advance; $32 at the door, and may be ordered online at gordoncenter.com. The Gordon Center is located on the campus of the Rosenbloom JCC at 3506 Gwynnbrook Ave., Owings Mills, MD 21117.
