Big Virginia Sky Heads To D.C. For Six Shows Next Month
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Americana folk band Big Virginia Sky will perform a string of events in the Washington D.C. area beginning February 16, 2016. The band has been packing venues from Florida to Maryland promoting their self-titled new album that features numerous standout tracks like �Love Song� with guest Sierra Hull.

Big Virginia Sky features the award-winning talents of guitar player James Adkins on vocals and mandolinist and songwriter, Scott Slay. Brothers Dale and Steve Lazar provide percussion and bass as a rhythm section, with Taylor Gerber on electric guitar.

Virginia Country Music Hall of Famer, Sammy Shelor appears on the album and will be performing with Big Virginia Sky at three of the six upcoming D.C. shows. Shelor is a 5�-time IBMA Banjo Player of the Year Award winner, recipient of the 2nd Annual Steve Martin Prize for Excellence in Banjo & Bluegrass award, and is the current band leader and banjoist for Lonesome River Band.
