The ICMP's Songwriters' Circle With Glen Matlock Of The Sex Pistols

The ICMP's Songwriters' Circle With Glen Matlock Of The Sex Pistols
LONDON, UK (Top40 Charts) The Institute of Contemporary Music Performance is proud to announce that founder member of legendary punk band The Sex Pistols Glen Matlock will be performing at our Songwriters Circle event tonight at MODE in Notting Hill. Co-writer of such songs as God Save the Queen and Anarchy in the UK, Matlock will be performing songs by the Pistols, and talking about some of the inspiration behind his work with one of the most influential bands of all time.

Our Songwriters Circles are a truly unique experience, London's fastest growing songwriting event where writers reveal how and why their lyrics came to be, and we are happy to bring this experience to our students and the wider public. Glen Matlock will be joined by host tutor Luke Toms, guest alumna Polly Money, and students of the ICMP Josh Cotterill, Arran George and Freya Volk.

Though they only released one album, The Sex Pistols are known as one of the most influential bands of all time, kickstarting the UK punk scene and influencing an entire generation of musicians, artists and creatives. Glen Matlock was a founder member of the band, and co-writer of 10 of the 12 songs from their debut and only record, 'Never Mind the Bollocks, Here's The Sex Pistols'.
