My Jerusalem Signs To Washington Square
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Washington Square Music announces the signing of indie rockers My Jerusalem to a worldwide label and publishing deal. The Austin-based band will release their third full length record this summer, followed by extensive touring in the U.S. and abroad.

"We're truly excited to work with Washington Square. We miss the feeling of mystery and danger in rock and roll. We want to make sure it doesn't disappear, says lead singer Jeff Klein. Washington Square gets it. This album is a celebration. A really fucked up celebration."

We are very excited to have My Jerusalem join the Washington Square roster, adds Washington Square Co-Owner Cliff Chenfeld. Jeff Klein and the band write innovative songs and its a pleasure to partner with an artist who gets plenty of love from both fans and fellow artists alike. My Jerusalems signing to Washington Square is a great example of the progress that we are making in attracting outstanding indie artists to the label.

Jeff Klein founded My Jerusalem in 2010 after several years of being a touring musician in critically acclaimed bands The Twilight Singers and The Gutter Twins. Originally conceived as a collective, My Jerusalem really hit their stride in 2013 with the release of Preachers, their second full length album (The End Records). Recorded in under three weeks by Spoon drummer Jim Eno, Preachers fully encapsulates the sound of the band and was released to rave reviews. My Old Kentucky Blog premiered the album in its entirety, calling out Kleins smokey baritone vocals. The Austin Chronicle said, The band soaks romantic obsession in a cinematic pool of brooding rock. My Jerusalem have toured extensively with a variety of artists including Courtney Love, Spoon, Peter Murphy, Heartless Bastards and The Lemonheads amongst many others.

My Jerusalem is Jeff Klein (lead vocals), Grant Van Amburgh (drums), Jon Merz (guitar, keys, horns) and Kyle Robarge (bass). My Jersualem is managed by Charlie Caplowe and Chris Trovero and represented for touring in North America by David Strunk at United Talent Agency.
My Jerusalem is the latest signing to Washington Square, the alternative-leaning imprint formed by Razor & Tie. The band joins label mates Austin Plaine, Soren Bryce and MOTHXR.
