New York, NY (Top40 Charts) HACKTIVIST have revealed their latest single 'Taken', an emotive track with a huge chorus courtesy of special guest Rou Reynolds of Enter Shikari.
Both bands bonded over their mutual love of defying genre boundaries while touring together in 2014/15, and this inevitable collaboration is as natural as it is exciting and inspiring.
'Taken' was premiered on Dan Carter's
Radio One Rock Show in the UK and is the third single to be taken from their highly-anticipated debut album Outside The Box, which is set for release worldwide on March 4 via UNFD/Rise Records in the U.S.
Album pre-orders: iTunes, MerchNow.
Of 'Taken', co-vocalist Ben Marvin says:
"This is about losing someone close to you, so it was a very emotional time writing and recording the song because weve all lost friends and family over the last few years. Its about remembering whats important in life, being there for others in times of need and holding moments in your life close to your heart."
The quintet are currently out on tour playing intimate club shows in the UK before they head to

Hacktivist have been fighting their way from
Milton Keynes to the mainstage since 2011 and now it's time for the world to listen up. Outside The Box is a 12 track barrage of low-tuned riffs, street-smart rhymes with huge hooks and grooves, resulting in a powerful record with a sound that is 100% their own. Guest performances are present from Rou Reynolds of Enter Shikari, Jamie Graham of
Heart Of A Coward, Astroid Boys and cyber rhymer Jot Maxi; a highly diverse collection of artists only Hacktivist could bring together.
Like antibodies that fight disease, Outside The Box is an immediate and fierce response to the world Hacktivist inhabit. It's a conscious call to arms and the product of a unique bunch of mates that could only ever have been conceived in the neglected corners of one of the UK's most misunderstood towns in 2016 by one of the most exciting bands around. It's no understatement to say Outside The Box has been a long time coming - it comprises over five years' worth of ideas that have been bubbling while the band crossed milestone after milestone, fueled by the success of their incendiary self-titled 2013 EP.
On the back of the DIY release, Hacktivist garnered strong support from all sides of the media Kerrang!, Rock Sound, Metal Hammer and BBC
Radio 1 all amplified the message, and word soon spread to the likes of The Guardian, XFM and legendary hip-hop publication Insomniac and spent every spare second on the road.
Mainstage appearances at Reading, Leeds and Sonisphere festivals soon followed in the UK, as well as Rock Am Ring & Rock Im Park in Germany, and the miles racked up around
Europe (including as special guests to Korn in 2014) mean that the support accorded to the H grows wherever necessary. In March, for example, they'll play to almost a thousand in Budapest. This is a movement that respects no borders.
